Protect yourself from theft during the Holiday Season! USPS has predicted that this year there will be over 750 million packages delivered. With package deliveries at an all time high thieves have an even greater opportunity to take what is not theirs. Help protect your purchases, as well as your home by following these simple tips....

Request for a signature on items. By requesting a signature your package will not be left at your door step if no one is home.

TCHT House Note #3: Take advantage of tracking your package. Delivery services such as USPS and FedEx both offer great services to help keep you up-to-date on where your package is. USPS offers "USPS Tracking" and FedEx uses "Delivery Manager" to give notifications of when your package will be delivered and even gives you the option to redirect your package to a different address!

TCHT House Note #4: Opt to give delivery instructions. If you are having a more noticeable object delivered request for it to be placed at your back door or at your side garage door. By doing this it keeps "drive by thieves" from seeing you have a bigger package awaiting for your arrival.

TCHT House Note #5: Know when your package will most likely be delivered. Most packages are delivered during business hours. If you know in advance your package will be delivered while you are at work have it delivered to your office or have it shipped to someone you know you can trust that will be at home to receive it.

TCHT House Note #6: Break down delivery boxes & don't leave them out. Protect yourself from others knowing what you have ordered or just bought by breaking down boxes and only putting boxes out as close as you possibly can to your garbage pick up time. This will minimize the amount of people who will see what you have recently bought and what you have in your home!
